Starting its journey from the legacy of Ahmed Trading in the 1970s, the company gradually evolved from a general trading business into a specialized home appliance brand under the name Miyako.
Over the decades, Miyako has expanded its product line to hundreds of appliances across multiple categories, including blenders, rice cookers, ovens, cookers, and other everyday household electronics.
To ensure competitive pricing with consistent quality, Miyako sources from top manufacturing hubs such as China, Turkey, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Bangladesh, and also assembles selected products locally.

Miyako’s roots go back to Ahmed Trading, founded in Dhaka in 1976, which later transformed into Hasib Electronics and then Miyako Appliance Limited as the business shifted towards electronics.
In the 1990s, Miyako entered the home appliance market with a small blender lineup and steadily expanded into ovens, rice cookers, microwave ovens, and a wide range of kitchen and household products.
Between 1999 and 2005, the brand rapidly grew its portfolio and distribution, establishing a strong presence across Bangladesh through both own outlets and partner retailers.
Today, Miyako offers hundreds of products across dozens of categories, combining imported components with local assembly to balance quality, affordability, and availability for Bangladeshi consumers.
